Then it takes an unexpected turn.

Visarc developed the art direction for the campaign, shaping a narrative that plays with audience assumptions while showcasing the Musso’s towing power and off-road capability.

The film opens with the pickup rolling into a muddy motocross circuit, towing two dirt bikes behind it. Engines fire up, mud flies and the riders launch into action, carving through steep hillsides and as the pace builds.

As the action winds down, the riders finally remove their helmets. The reveal breaks the convention that the film has been building towards. Two older ladies sit calmly beside the track with a cup of tea.

Assumptions are easy to make. Convention is there to be challenged.

The moment captures the spirit of the campaign’s central idea, Escape Convention, positioning the KGM Musso as a pickup designed for people who do not follow the expected path.

Production for the KGM Musso Campaign 2026 took place in Wales, where persistent rain and muddy terrain quickly became defining elements of the shoot.

Rather than avoiding the conditions, the team leaned into them. The wet landscape and rugged off-road environment provided the perfect setting to demonstrate the KGM Musso’s off-road capability and towing strength in real-world conditions.

Working in these environments required careful coordination across the production, ensuring vehicles, riders and camera setups could handle the demanding conditions while maintaining the energy of the motocross sequences.
